The Handmaid’s Tale triomphe aux Emmys 2017

Dans un choix symbolique à plus d’un titre, les Emmys ont couronné The Handmaid’s Tale, propulsant ainsi Hulu – son diffuseur – comme le premier service de streaming à obtenir la distinction dans la catégorie reine (meilleur drame), au nez et à la barbe de Netflix.

C’est donc l’adaptation du roman de Margaret Atwood (La Servante écarlate) qui l’emporte. Une récompense double puisque Elisabeth Moss, son interprète principale, est également repartie avec la statuette de meilleure actrice pour un drame (notez qu’elle est enfin distinguée après 8 nominations tout de même).

Parmi les autres récompenses principales, VEEP (HBO) ainsi que Julia Louis-Dreyfus sont réélues (meilleure comédie et meilleure actrice dans une comédie), Sterling K. Brown (This Is Us / NBC) remporte le prix du meilleur acteur dans un drame, Donald Glover (Atlanta / FX) celui de la comédie, Big Little Lies (HBO) est sacrée meilleure série limitée et Black Mirror (Netflix) repart avec la récompense de meilleur téléfilm !
